Active Clutch Working Fluid Pump (Freelander 2)

Removal

1. Raise the car on a lift.

WARNING: Ensure that the vehicle is supported securely.

2. Remove the pinion flange. Refer to procedure: Pinion Shoulder (205-02 Rear Drive Axle/Differential, Removal and Installation).




4. Discard the O-rings as they are no longer needed.

Prepare to collect spilled liquid. Clean the area around the element and remove any foreign material.

Installation

1. Lubricate the O-rings. Refer to procedure: Specifications (205-02 Rear Drive Axle/Differential, Specifications).

CAUTION: Lubricate O-rings only with specified lubricants.

2. Install new O-rings.

3. Install the oil pump. Tightening torque: 6 Nm

CAUTION: Clean the area around the element and remove any foreign material.

4. Connect the plug connector.

5. Install the drive flange. Refer to procedure: Pinion Protrusion (205-02 Rear Drive Axle/Differential, Removal and Installation).

6. Check the level and add active clutch fluid. Refer to procedure: Active Clutch Filler (205-02 Rear Drive Axle/Differential, General Procedures).
