Power steering fluid reservoir (Defender 2007+)

Removal


1. Place a drain pan under the tank.

2. Loosen the support bracket clamp bolt and lift the tank to gain access to the feed and return hose clamps.

3. Release the clamps, disconnect the hoses from the tank and drain the working fluid.

4.
CAUTION: Cap connections to prevent dirt from entering.

Discard the fluid drained from the system. Avoid contact with paintwork. In case of spillage, wipe up traces of fluid and clean the affected area with warm water.


Remove the tank.

Remove the tank.


Installation


1. Install the tank, connect the supply and return hoses and tighten the clamps to 3 Nm.

2. Install the tank into the clamp and tighten the clamp bolt.

3. Fill the reservoir to a level between the upper mark and the end of the dipstick with power steering fluid.
