Removal
1. Place the vehicle on a level, horizontal surface and place wheel chocks under the rear wheels.
2. Raise the vehicle and place secure supports underneath it or use a lift.
3. Remove the bolt securing the steering shock absorber to the longitudinal steering rod bracket.
4. Loosen the nuts and remove the washers and rubber bushing securing the steering shock absorber to the chassis support.
5. Remove the steering shock absorber.

6. Check the rubber bushings and washers. Replace if necessary.
Installation
1. Position the rubber bushings and washers correctly. Install the steering shock absorber onto the chassis support.
2. Connect the steering shock absorber to the tie rod bracket.
3. Remove the supports or remove the vehicle from the lift.
