Differential support cushion (Freelander 2)

Removal

1. Raise the vehicle.

WARNING: Ensure that the vehicle is supported securely.

2. Remove the exhaust system. Refer to procedure: Exhaust System (309-00A Exhaust System - 3.2L NA - I6, Removal and Installation).

3. Mount the rear differential on a transmission jack.

WARNING: Ensure that the vehicle is supported securely.

4. Discard the bolts.

CAUTION: Mark the positions of the components to facilitate subsequent installation.

Installation

1. Install the rear differential isolator to the rear differential. Tightening torque: 35 Nm

2. Screw in the rear differential front bushing mounting bolts. Tightening torque: 175 Nm

Use new bolts. The alignment marks must be centered.

3. Install the exhaust systems. Refer to procedure: Exhaust System (309-00A Exhaust System - 3.2L NA - I6, Removal and Installation).
