Removal


1. Remove the front shock absorber.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Front Shock Absorber (204-01 Front suspension, Removal and installation).

CAUTION: Avoid excessive strain on the brake hoses. If necessary, loosen the locknuts on the hose connections to allow the hoses to follow the axle.


2. Lower the bridge enough to release the spring.

3. Remove the spring.

4. Remove the shock absorber bracket mounting ring.

4. Remove the shock absorber bracket mounting ring.


Installation


1. Install the shock absorber bracket mounting ring. Secure it with a nut.

2. Install the spring and raise the bridge.

3. Unscrew the retaining ring fastening nut.

4. Install the front shock absorber.
