Review

The volume of air supplied to the passenger compartment is controlled by a 2-position slide switch on the central console. It is possible to select air supply from outside or air recirculation in the passenger compartment. When switching, a cable pull acts on the air supply and fan unit. The air supply and fan unit is located in the engine compartment.

Outside air enters the system through the air intake duct, which is located in the front fender on the passenger side. The incoming air is fed through the air supply and fan assembly to the heater assembly, and from there it is distributed throughout the cabin through a system of ducts, vents, and dampers.

NOTE: The vehicle is not equipped with a fine filter.

When recirculation mode is selected, air enters the system through the air intake at the bottom of the instrument panel, above the passenger footwell.

The air distribution in the passenger compartment is controlled by the right RH rotary control on the center console. A pull cable controls 2 air flaps via eccentrics on the heater unit.
