Removal


1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Disconnecting and connecting the battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

2. Remove the heater radiator housing.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Heater housing (412-02 Heating and ventilation, Removal and installation).

3.
CAUTION: Do not damage the foam seal on the heater core. Failure to follow this warning may result in damage to the component.


Remove the heater radiator.
  • Remove the screw.
  • Remove the pipe clamp.

Remove the pipe clamp.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the component is removed only for access.


Remove the bushings from the heater radiator pipes.

Installation


1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.

2. Connect the ground wire to the battery.
