Heater core (Freelander 2)

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).

2. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. Refer to procedure: Draining/Filling Coolant and Bleeding the Cooling System (303-03A Engine Cooling - 3.2L NA - I6, General Procedures).

3. Remove the gear selector lever. Refer to procedure: Selector Assembly (307-05 Automatic Transmission/Transaxle External Controls, Removal and Installation).



5. Remove the front door jamb trim panel. Refer to procedure: Front Door Jamb Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim, Removal and Installation).










9. Tightening torque: 6 Nm

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect any leaking coolant.

Installation

1. When installing, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
