Heater control valve (Defender 2007+)

Removal

1. Remove the hood switch. Disconnect the electrical connector from the hood switch.

NOTE: Mark the installation position of the cable before removing it.

Disconnect the heater control cable. Release the clamp.



3. Disconnect the heater radiator supply hose.

• Secure the hose using a suitable clamp.
• Release the clamp.

4. Disconnect the heater control supply and return hoses.

• Secure the hoses using a suitable clamp.
• Release the two clamps.

5. Disconnect the heater radiator return hose. Release the clamp.



6. Disconnect the heater regulator. Remove the nut.

7. Remove the heater regulator. Unscrew the bolt.

Installation

1. Install the elements in place in the reverse order. Tighten (tightening torque 22 Nm).



2. Tighten (tightening torque 6 Nm).
