Review

The crankshaft pulley, via the accessory drive belt, drives the accessory units, which include the vibration damper, alternator, power steering pump, air conditioning compressor, vacuum pump and coolant pump.

The maintenance-free poly V-belt is automatically pre-tensioned by an automatic tensioner and runs over the idler pulleys to maintain adequate traction on the drive pulleys, eliminating the possibility of the belt slipping on the accessory pulleys.
