Removal


1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Disconnecting and connecting the battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

2. Remove the cooling fan.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Cooling Fan (303-03 Engine Cooling - Diesel Engine ID4 2.4L, Removal and Installation).

3. Loosen the accessory drive belt tension. Turn the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise.

4. Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner. Remove the bolt.

Installation


1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
  • Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
  • Tighten the bolt (tightening torque 25 Nm).

2. Connect the ground wire to the battery.
