Drive Belt Tensioner 4.0L (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

2. Remove the alternator drive belt. For more information, refer to Accessory Drive Belt (86.10.03)

3. Remove the alternator drive belt tensioner. Unscrew the alternator drive belt tensioner bolt.

Installation

1. Install the alternator drive belt tensioner.

• Clean the mating surfaces of the elements.
• Tighten the bolt (tightening torque 45 Nm).

2. Install the alternator drive belt. For more information, refer to Accessory Drive Belt (86.10.03)

3. Connect the ground wire to the battery.
