Drive Belt Tensioner 2.7L (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

2. Remove the accessory drive belt. For more information, refer to Accessory Drive Belt (86.10.03)

3. Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner. Remove the bolt.



4. Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner pulley. Remove the Torx bolt.

Installation

1. Install the accessory belt tensioner.

• Clean the parts.
• Tighten the bolt (tightening torque 25 Nm).

2. Install the accessory belt tensioner.

• Clean the parts.
• Tighten the bolt (tightening torque 45 Nm).

3. Install the accessory drive belt. For more information, refer to Accessory Drive Belt (86.10.03)
