Accessory Drive Belt 4.4L (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

2. Remove the viscous fan clutch drive belt. For more information, refer to Cooling Fan Belt (26.25.01)

3. Remove the cooling fan drive pulley. Unscrew the 3 bolts.

4. Remove the fan viscous coupling hub bearing. Remove 5 bolts.



5. Remove the cooling fan drive belt tensioner. Unscrew the bolt.



6. Release the accessory drive belt. Turn the accessory drive belt tensioner counterclockwise.

NOTE: Remember the position of the part.

Remove the accessory drive belt.

Installation

1. Install the accessory drive belt.



2. Install the cooling fan drive belt tensioner. Tighten the M10 bolt. (tightening torque 45 Nm).

3. Install the fan viscous coupling hub bearing. Tighten the bolts. (tightening torque 10 Nm).

4. Install the cooling fan drive pulley. Tighten the bolts evenly. (tightening torque 25 Nm).

5. Install the viscous fan clutch drive belt. For more information, refer to Cooling Fan Belt (26.25.01)

6. Connect the ground cable to the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.
