Cooling Fan Belt Tensioner 4.4L (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

2. Remove the viscous fan clutch drive belt. For more information, refer to Cooling Fan Belt (26.25.01)

3. Remove the fan viscous clutch drive belt tensioner. Unscrew the bolt.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the part is removed only for access.

Remove the drive belt pulley. Unscrew the bolt.

Installation

1. When installing, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.

• Tighten the pulley bolt (tightening torque 25 Nm).
• Tighten the tensioner bolt (tightening torque 40 Nm).

2. Install the viscous fan clutch drive belt. For more information, refer to Cooling Fan Belt (26.25.01)
