Downshift alarm switch (Defender 2007+)

Removal

1.

WARNING: Never work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with jack stands. Failure to do so may result in injury.

Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Disconnect the transfer case low range indicator switch electrical connector.

• 1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
• 2. Release the electrical connector from the bracket.

3. Remove the transfer case low range indicator switch. Remove and discard the sealing washer.

Installation

1. Install the components in the reverse order of disassembly.

• Install a new sealing washer.
• Tighten it up (tightening torque 24 Nm).
