General procedures
1.
WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle standing on only one jack. Always support the vehicle with jack stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Install a reservoir to collect fluid.

NOTE: Clean area around transfer case fill/check fluid level.
Remove the transfer case filler plug to vent it and drain the fluid.

NOTE: Clean the area around the transfer case drain plug.
Remove the transfer case drain plug.
5. Let the liquid drain.
6. Screw in the drain plug of the transfer case and remove all oil residues from the surrounding surface. Tighten (tightening torque 30 Nm).

CAUTION: The transfer case oil filler plug must not be used as an oil level plug in the transfer case. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.
Fill the transfer case with the recommended fluid.

8. Screw in the filler plug of the transfer case and remove all oil residues from the surrounding surface. Tighten (tightening torque 30 Nm).
9. Remove container.
