The procedure for removing the headlight mounting brackets and the hood lock panel is discussed.
Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
CAUTION: After turning off the ignition, wait two minutes before disconnecting the battery.
Failure to do so may result in damage to the navigation system computer.
2. Remove both headlights as an assembly.

3. Remove the front bumper.

4. Release the 4 flexible fasteners securing the washer hose to the body and move the hose to the side.
5. Disconnect the headlight, windshield wiper and headlight washers, and horn connector blocks from the hood lock panel assembly.
6. Remove the two screws securing the bumper beam extension and remove the extension from the bumper beam.
7. Remove the fasteners securing the radiator supply pipes to the bumper support brackets.
8. Remove the 3 screws securing the left bumper support. Repeat the operation for the right support and remove it.
9. For diesel vehicles: Remove the 2 screws securing the fuel cooler inlet pipe to the hood lock panel.
10. Move the pipe to the side.
11. Remove the screws securing the radiator assembly from the hood lock panel.
12. Remove the 4 screws securing the hood lock panel to the inner wing panels.
13. Cut and discard the flexible fasteners securing the coolant expansion tank hose to the hood latch panel.
14. For left side only: Remove the screw securing the washer reservoir to the headlight mounting panel.
15. Remove the 4 screws securing the lower outer shelf of the hood lock panel assembly to the inner wing panels.
16. With the help of an assistant, carefully loosen and remove the hood lock panel assembly.
Assembly
1. With the help of an assistant, position the hood lock panel assembly on the vehicle body.
2. Install and hand tighten the screws securing the bonnet lock panel assembly to the body, adjust the position of the panel and tighten the M8 screws to 25 Nm and the M6 screws to 10 Nm.
3. Install the radiator assembly by connecting it to the hood lock panel using the mounting screws.
4. Install the bumper beam on the body, tighten the screws and nuts and tighten the screws to 10 Nm and the nuts to 45 Nm.
5. Install the washer reservoir mounting screw to the headlight bracket and tighten the screw to 3 N·m.
6. Secure the cables with clamps.
7. Install and secure the bumper mounting brackets, tighten the screws to 3 Nm and install the clips.
8. Connect the connector blocks.
9. Install the extension and tighten the screws to a torque of 10 Nm.
10. Position the washer hose on the bumper beam and secure it with new clips.
11. For diesel vehicles: Position the fuel cooler inlet pipe on the bonnet lock panel, install the screws and tighten them to 3 N·m.
12. Position the coolant expansion tank hose and secure it to the hood latch panel.
13. Reinstall the front bumper.

14. Install both headlights as an assembly.
LIGHTING, REPAIR WORK, Headlight assembly.
15. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
CAUTION: After connecting the battery, turn the steering wheel fully left and fully right with the engine running. This will allow the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) to re-establish communication with the steering angle sensor. Failure to do so will cause several instrument cluster warning lights to come on.
