Dismantling


1. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.

2. Remove the headlight mounting panel.

3. Remove the right headlight mounting panel.

4. Remove the nut securing the power steering hose bracket to the radiator guard and move the hose to the side.

5. Remove the 2 screws securing the radiator guard to the front subframe and, with the help of an assistant, remove the radiator guard.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the unit is removed only for ease of access.


6. For V8 vehicles only: Release the fasteners securing the front axle cooling pipe to the radiator guard and remove the pipe.

7. Remove the 5 fasteners securing the intercooler screen to the radiator guard. Remove the screen.

Repair works


1. Remove damaged panels, prepare joint edges and install new panels in accordance with the Body…


1. Remove damaged panels, prepare joint edges and install new panels in accordance with the Body Panel Repair Rules. Punch or drill holes in the panel to be installed for the plug weld, as shown in the figure.



Assembly


1. Install the intercooler screen and secure it with the clips.

2. With the help of an assistant, install the radiator guard, tighten the screws and tighten them to a torque of 105 N·m.

3. Secure the power steering hose bracket and tighten the nut to 10 Nm.

4. Install the right headlight mounting panel.

5. Install the left headlight mounting panel.

6. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
