Central pillar reinforcement panel B/C (Range Rover 3)

This procedure covers the replacement of the sill and the "B/C" sections of the center pillar of the side body panel.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Disconnect the generator.

3. Remove all parts and assemblies that are dismantled when replacing the threshold and sections "B/C" of the central pillar of the side body panel.

Repair works

1. Remove damaged panels, prepare joint edges and install new panels in accordance with the Body Panel Repair Rules. Punch or drill holes in the panel to be installed for the plug weld, as shown in the figure.

If the front sill reinforcement panel is not being replaced, the center pillar reinforcement panel should be cut at the location indicated by the dotted line in the illustration.

Assembly

1. Reinstall all parts and assemblies that are removed when replacing the threshold and sections "B/C" of the central pillar of the side body panel.
