Rear side seat hinge (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Fold the rear seat forward.



2. Unscrew the 3 screws securing the mechanism cover and remove the cover.

3. Loosen and discard the 2 Torx screws securing the hinge mechanism to the backrest frame.

4. Remove the 2 Allen screws securing the hinge mechanism to the seat frame and remove the hinge mechanism.



5. Remove and discard the Torx screw securing the seat belt buckle and remove the buckle.

Assembly

1. Install the seat belt buckle, install the Torx screw and tighten it to 31 N·m.

2. Install the hinge mechanism to the seat frame and tighten the Allen screws to 25 N·m.

3. Align the backrest frame with the hinge mechanism, install the Allen screws and tighten them to 25 Nm.

4. Install the hinge mechanism cover and secure it with screws.

5. Return the seat to its original position.
