Front seat cushion upholstery (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Remove the seat assembly.

SEATS, REPAIR WORK, Front seat.

2. Remove the Allen screw securing the armrest.

3. Remove the armrest from the hinge protrusion.

4. Remove the screw securing the cover on the inside of the seat base and remove the cover.

5. Remove the switch block.

6. Release the 3 seat back panel tension straps under the seat.



7. Release the brackets securing the backrest upholstery to the bottom of the backrest panel.





8. Release the edges of the backrest upholstery on both sides of the seat back panel.

9. Remove the 2 pins securing the bottom of the back panel.

10. Separate the back panel from the seat.



11. Disconnect the lumbar support cable connector from the pump and valve.

12. Disconnect the connector block from the seat heater cable.



13. Release the cables from the retainer and pass them through the backrest upholstery.



14. Remove the 2 Torx screws and remove the backrest frame from the seat frame.



15. Separate the cushion upholstery trim from the back of the frame.

16. Separate the seat cushion trim panel from the side and front parts of the frame.



17. Remove the cushion with the upholstery assembly.

18. Release the 15 rings securing the upholstery to the cushion and remove the upholstery.

Assembly

1. Place the upholstery on the cushion and secure it with 15 rings.

2. Install and secure the cushion with upholstery on the frame.

3. Align the backrest frame with the seat frame, install the Torx screws and tighten them to 25 Nm.

4. Route the lumbar support cable through the upholstery and secure it to the seat frame.

5. Connect the connector to the seat heater connector.



6. Connect the lumbar support cable connectors to the pump and valve.

7. Place the backrest panel onto the assembled seat and install the bottom of the backrest panel retaining pins.

8. Secure both edges of the seat cushion upholstery to the back panel.

9. Staple the bottom of the upholstery to the back panel.

10. Fasten the backrest panel tension straps to the fasteners at the bottom of the seat.

11. Install the switch block.

12. Install the seat base cover and secure it with screws.

13. Install the armrest onto the hinge and tighten the Allen screw to 25 Nm.

14. Install the seat assembly into the vehicle.
