Front seat cushion upholstery (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the front seat.

SEATS, REPAIR WORK, Front seat.

2. Remove the seat back tilt adjustment handle.

3. Release the side trim clips and remove the trims.

4. Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors located under the seat cushion.

5. Release the 2 clamps securing the electrical connector to the seat frame.

6. Remove the 4 Torx bolts securing the backrest frame and remove the backrest from the cushion frame.



7. Release the fasteners securing the corners of the cushion upholstery to the seat frame.

8. Release the fastener securing the front edge of the cushion upholstery to the seat frame.



9. Release the fastener securing the front edge of the cushion upholstery to the seat frame.



10. Release the rear part of the cushion from its fastening to the seat frame.

11. Remove the cushion together with the upholstery.



12. Release the 12 rings securing the upholstery to the cushion.

13. Remove the upholstery from the cushion.

Installation

1. Place the upholstery on the cushion. Secure the upholstery with rings at the marks made during dismantling.

2. Install and secure the cushion with upholstery on the frame.

3. Align the backrest frame with the seat frame, install the Torx bolts and tighten them to 45 Nm.

4. Connect the connector blocks.

5. Attach the electrical connector to the frame and secure it with a clamp.

6. Install the seat back tilt adjustment handle.

7. Install the side panels and secure them to the clips.

8. Install the front seat.
