Front seat — removal and installation (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Follow all safety rules when working with the airbag system.

2. Remove the seat base cover.

3. Disconnect the seat belt pretensioner electrical connector from the seat frame and disconnect it.

4. Remove the cap from the rear skid mounting bolt.

5. Remove the 4 Torx screws securing the sled.

6. Remove the front seat.

Installation

1. Install the front seat and secure it with Torx screws. Tighten the screws to 45 Nm.

2. Install the cap onto the rear bolt.

3. Connect the electrical connector to the pretensioner and secure it to the seat base.

4. Install the seat base cover.
