Distribution pipe tubes with cooling pump (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling


1. Drain the coolant.

COOLING SYSTEM: V8 engine, ADJUSTMENTS, Draining coolant, flushing the system and filling.


2. Remove the intake manifold.

EXHAUST MANIFOLD & DUMP SYSTEM: V-8 Engine, REPAIR, Intake Manifold Gasket(s).


3. Unscrew the bolt securing the engine harness to the distribution pipe.

4. Release the harness from the two clamps on the distribution pipe.

5. Release the transfer case crankcase ventilation hose from the retainer.

6. Unscrew the 6 bolts securing the distribution pipe to the cylinder heads.


6. Unscrew the 6 bolts securing the distribution pipe to the cylinder heads.

7. Secure the cooling system pipes and remove the distribution pipe.

8. Remove and discard the distribution pipe gaskets.

9. Disconnect 2 pipes from the cooling system pump.


9. Disconnect 2 pipes from the cooling system pump.



10. Discard the O-rings.

Assembly


1. Wipe the areas where the gasket will be installed.

2. Install new O-rings on the pipe.

3. Connect the pipes to the cooling system pump.

4. Install the distribution pipe with new gaskets on the cylinder heads, screw in the bolts and tighten them to a torque of 10 Nm.

5. Secure the transfer case crankcase ventilation hose to the retainer.

6. Secure the harness with clamps.

7. Screw in the engine harness mounting bolts to the distribution pipe and tighten them. Tightening torque 10 Nm.

8. Install the intake manifold.

EXHAUST MANIFOLD & DUMP SYSTEM: V-8 Engine, REPAIR, Intake Manifold Gasket(s).


9. Fill the engine with coolant.

COOLING SYSTEM: V8 engine, ADJUSTMENTS, Draining coolant, flushing the system and filling.
