Front door exterior handle (Range Rover 3)

This operation also applies to the rear door handle.

Dismantling


1. Remove the plastic door panel shield.

2. Driver's door: Remove the access plug to the handle lock mounting screw.


2. Driver's door: Remove the access plug to the handle lock mounting screw.

3. Driver's door: Remove the Torx screw securing the handle lock and remove the handle lock.

4. Remove the Torx screw securing the door handle.


4. Remove the Torx screw securing the door handle.

5. Separate the door handle assembly from the door.

6. Disconnect the release cable from the door handle.


6. Disconnect the release cable from the door handle.



7. Remove the door handle.

8. Release the cable from the retainer and remove the amplifier.

Assembly


1. Attach the release cable to the door handle.

2. Install the interior reinforcement on the door.

3. Align the cable with the internal reinforcement and secure it in the fixing socket.

4. Place the handle on the door, align it and tighten the mounting screw without tightening it all the way.

5. Driver's Door: Install the handle lock and install the Torx screw, but do not tighten it all the way.

6. Check that the handle fits correctly and tighten the Torx screws to 10 Nm.

7. Check how the handle and lock work.

8. Install the access plug to the lock screw.

9. Install the door panel plastic shield.
