Removal
NOTE: This procedure requires removal of the left and right front door exterior handle.
NOTE: If removal of the outside handle involves removing other interior door components, it is recommended to release the outside door handle and screw cover from the inside of the door after removing the door trim panel, regulator and motor.
1. Left side: Remove the security lock. For more information, refer to Door Lock Cylinder (76.37.39)

NOTE: Removing the screw cover may damage the clips that hold it in place.
NOTE: If removing the screw cover involves removing other interior door components, it is recommended to release the screw cover from the inside of the door after removing the door trim panel, regulator and motor.
Right side: Remove the screw cover. Release the 2 clamps.

3. To remove the front door outer handle without removing the door trim panel.
- Push the handle back firmly, then rotate it away from the door and remove it.
- Remove 2 gaskets.

4. To remove the front door outer handle after removing the door trim panel and regulator.
- Using a nylon mallet, carefully release the clamp.
- Remove 2 gaskets.

Installation

NOTE: Use a wire of appropriate length to secure the spring of the lock lever while pressing the outer handle.
When installing, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
