Removal


1. Remove the rear window lifter motor and regulator assembly. For more information, refer to Rear Door Window Lifter and electric Window Lifter motor (86.25.05)

CAUTION: Release the outside door handle and screw cover clips inside the door.


Remove the rear door exterior handle. For more information, refer to Rear Door Exterior Handle (76.58.02)

3. Release the door lock control cable. Release the sealing bushing.

4. Release the outer door handle mechanism.
  • Remove 2 Torx head screws.
  • Remove the locking pin.
5. Remove the rear door lock assembly.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector.
  • Remove 3 Torx head screws.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the part is removed only for access.

Remove the door lock control cable.
  • Disconnect the cable from the support bracket.
  • Remove the cable from the lever.
Remove the cable from the lever.


7. Disconnect the outer door handle mechanism cable from the door lock.


  • Disconnect the cable from the support bracket.
  • Remove the cable from the lever.
Remove the cable from the lever.


Installation


1. Connect the outside door handle mechanism cable to the door lock.
  • Attach the cable to the lever.
  • Attach the cable to the support bracket.
2. Connect the door lock control cable to the door lock.
  • Attach the cable to the lever.
  • Attach the cable to the support bracket.
3. Prepare the outer door handle mechanism.
  • Turn the lever.
  • Engage the shank.
Engage the shank.


4. Install the front door lock assembly.
  • Tighten the Torx head screws (tightening torque 10 Nm).
  • Connect the electrical connector.
5. Install the outer door handle mechanism.
  • Place the mechanism in the door.
  • Insert the locking pin.
  • Insert and tighten the Torx head screws.
6. Position the door lock control cables. Install the sealing bushing.



7. Install the front door outside handle. For more information, refer to Rear Door Outside Handle (76.58.02)

8. Install the rear window lifter motor and regulator assembly. For more information, refer to Rear Door Window Lifter and electric Window Lifter motor (86.25.05)
