Front door panel (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Unscrew the 3 screws securing the inner panel to the door.

2. Remove the door panel trim and remove the screw.



3. Carefully release the 13 fasteners securing the panel to the door.

4. Make sure that the central lock is also released.



5. Pull the panel horizontally off the 7 clips securing the upper edge of the door panel to the inner glass seal. When finally removing the panel, be careful not to damage the door lock button.



6. Release the door lock cable and move it to the side.



7. Disconnect the 6 door cable connector blocks and remove the door inner panel.

NOTE: If disassembly was performed only to provide access to other system components, no further disassembly operations should be performed.

8. Remove the 3 Torx screws securing the speaker to the door panel and remove the speaker.



9. Remove the 13 fasteners from the door body.



10. Remove the retainer from the inner door handle plate.

11. Unscrew the 2 nuts securing the inner plate of the door handle. Remove the inner plate.



12. Unscrew the 2 nuts securing the decorative door pocket trim, carefully separate the trim from the 3 fasteners and remove it.



13. Remove the 2 Torx screws securing the interior door pocket trim panel to the interior door panel. Remove the trim panel.



14. Press the spring clip and remove the light from the door panel.





15. Carefully remove the window control panel from the door panel.



16. Remove the access hole cover from the door panel.

Assembly

1. Replace the access hole cover.

2. Install the power window control panel to the door panel.

3. Install the light fixture on the door panel.

4. Install the inner door pocket trim and secure it with screws.

5. Install the outer door pocket trim, screw on the nuts and tighten them to a torque of 3 Nm.

6. Install the inner door handle plate, tighten the nuts and tighten them to 6 Nm.

7. Install and secure the retainer to the inner door handle plate.

8. Install the door panel clips.

9. Install the speaker into the door panel and secure it with Torx screws.

10. Connect the connector blocks.



11. Attach the cable to the inside door handle.

12. Install the front door panel.

13. Install the front door panel mounting screws.

14. Install the panel mounting screw covers.
