Rear door panel (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Unscrew the 3 screws securing the inner panel to the door.

2. Remove the plug to access the door panel mounting screw and remove the screw.

3. Carefully release the 11 fasteners securing the panel to the door.

4. Make sure that the central lock is also released.



5. Release the 6 fasteners securing the door panel to the inner glass seal. Be careful not to damage the door lock button when finally removing the door panel.

6. Release the lock control cable from the door panel and move it to the side.



7. Disconnect the 3 door wiring connectors and remove the inner door panel.

NOTE: If disassembly was performed only to provide access to other system components, no further disassembly operations should be performed.

8. Remove the 3 Torx screws securing the speaker to the door panel and remove the speaker.



9. Remove the 11 fasteners from the door panel.

10. Remove the retainer from the inner door handle plate.

11. Unscrew the 2 nuts securing the inner door handle plate and remove the plate.



12. Remove the 2 Torx screws securing the interior door pocket trim panel to the interior door panel. Remove the trim panel.





13. Press the spring clip and remove the light from the door panel.



14. Carefully remove the window control switch from the inner door panel.

15. Remove the access plug from the door panel.

Assembly

1. Replace the plug.

2. Install the window control panel to the door panel. Install and secure the clips.

3. Install the inner door pocket trim and secure it with screws.

4. Install the outer decorative trim of the door pocket, screw on the nuts and tighten them to a torque of 3 N·m.

5. Install the inner door handle plate, tighten the nuts and tighten them to 6 Nm.

6. Install and secure the retainer to the inner door handle plate.

7. Install the door panel clips.

8. Install the speaker into the door panel and secure it with Torx screws.



9. Connect the connector blocks.

10. Attach the cable to the inside door handle.

11. Install the rear door panel.

12. Install the front door panel mounting screws.

13. Install the panel mounting screw covers.
