Side panel of the body of the threshold section (Range Rover 3)

This procedure covers replacing the side body panel sill section.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Disconnect the generator.

3. Remove the rear wheel.

4. Remove the front and rear doors.

5. Remove the airbag system (SRS) side impact sensor.

6. Remove the front seat belt.

7. Remove the lower trims of the front and rear doors.

8. Remove the front and rear door seals.

9. Remove the threshold trim.

EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Front bumper extension - spoiler.

10. Remove the front seat.

11. Remove the rear seat cushion.

12. Loosen the carpet from the doorway floor and move it to the side.

13. Right side: Remove the air suspension receiver.

14. Remove the exhaust system assembly.

EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND EXHAUST SYSTEM: Td6 engine, REPAIR WORK, Exhaust system and suspension of system components.

15. Remove the fuel tank protection.

16. Separate the wiring harness from the sill area and move it to the side.

Repair works

1. Remove damaged panels, prepare joint edges and install new panels in accordance with the Body Panel Repair Rules. Punch or drill holes in the panel to be installed for the plug weld, as shown in the figure.

Assembly

1. Secure the wiring harness along the threshold.

2. Lay the floor carpet on the inner threshold.

3. Install the fuel tank guard.

4. Install the exhaust system assembly into place.

5. Right side: Install the air suspension receiver.

FRONT SUSPENSION, REPAIR WORK, Receiver.

6. Replace the front seat.

7. Install the rear seat cushion.

8. Install the front and rear door seals.

9. Install the front and rear door lower trims.

10. Install the threshold trim.

EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Front bumper extension - spoiler.

11. Reinstall the front seat belt.

12. Reinstall the airbag system (SRS) side impact sensor.

RESTRAINT SYSTEMS FOR THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS, REPAIR WORK, Impact sensor - side.

13. Hang the front and rear doors.

14. Install the rear wheel.

15. Connect the generator.

16. Connect the negative battery terminal.
