Setting up the air suspension system (Range Rover 3)

The air suspension system must be adjusted after replacing the following components:
  • Electronic control unit of the air suspension system,
  • Body height sensor,
  • Body panels containing mounting points for air suspension elements.

Pressure check


1. Connect the Testbook/T4 diagnostic tool to the vehicle and select the air suspension system setup from the menu.

CAUTION: Always wear hand, eye and ear protection when working on the air suspension system.


Adjustment


1. Before performing the air suspension adjustment procedure, make sure the following conditions are met.

ATTENTION: It is allowed to perform adjustments both on a loaded and unloaded vehicle. The weight of the loaded vehicle must not exceed the gross vehicle weight. The vehicle must be equipped with tires of the same size, and the air pressure in them must be brought to the norm.


CAUTION: Before performing the adjustment, place the vehicle on a flat horizontal surface. This is a prerequisite for successful completion of the adjustment procedure.


2. Using the Testbook/T4 diagnostic tool, perform the air suspension setup procedure.

3. For vehicles equipped with xenon headlights: After performing the air suspension adjustment, use the Testbook/T4 diagnostic tool to reset the automatic headlight beam levelling electronic control unit settings and adjust the headlights.

CAUTION: If the headlights are not adjusted using the Testbook/T4 diagnostic tool, they will not be adjusted correctly.




4. Check the adjustment/adjust the headlights.

5. Disconnect the TestBook/T4 diagnostic tool.
