Low-freezing engine cooling system fluid

Only Texaco antifreeze fluid (AFC) may be used. The base of this antifreeze fluid is ethylene glycol. The fluid does not contain methanol. To protect against corrosion, silicon-based corrosion inhibitors are added to the fluid. (phosphorus free).

CAUTION: If Texaco antifreeze fluid is not available, an ethylene glycol-based antifreeze fluid with silicon-based corrosion inhibitor additives that do not contain phosphorus may be used.

In accordance with the maintenance schedule provided in the Service Book, it is necessary to drain the coolant, flush and refill the cooling system.

After filling the cooling system, attach a plate to the vehicle indicating the type of coolant added. This is necessary to ensure that the correct type of coolant is used when topping up.

Brake fluid

Use only DOT 4 brake fluid.

Power steering fluid

Use only Texaco Cold Climate PSF 14315 special hydraulic fluid.

Air conditioner

Use only HFC-R134a refrigerant.
