Distribution pipe hoses with cooling pump (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Remove the intake manifold.

V8 Engine, ENGINE OVERHAUL, Intake Manifold Gasket(s).

Disassembly

1. Unscrew the 6 bolts securing the distribution pipe to the cylinder heads.

2. Remove the distribution pipe.

3. Remove and discard the distribution pipe gaskets.



4. Remove 2 hoses from the coolant pump.

5. Discard the O-rings.

Examination

1. Wipe the areas where the gasket will be installed.

2. Wipe the grooves under the O-rings and the ends of the hoses.

Assembly

1. Lubricate new O-rings with rubber grease and place the O-rings into the grooves on the pump and on the distribution pipe.

2. Place the hoses on the coolant pump.



3. Install the distribution pipe with new gaskets on the cylinder heads, screw in the bolts and tighten them to a torque of 10 N·m.

Assembly

1. Install the intake manifold.
