The procedure described applies equally to the supply and return hoses.
Dismantling
1. Remove the lower engine guard.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Lower engine protection shield.
2. Place a container to collect any fluid that drains. CAUTION: Use caution when draining transmission fluid, which may be very hot.

3. Disconnect the hose from the heat exchanger and discard the O-ring.
CAUTION: Always plug the fittings and holes to protect the system from dirt.

4. Unscrew the fitting nut and disconnect the hose from the gearbox.
5. Remove and discard the O-ring.
Installation
1. Wipe the fitting and hose using a lint-free cloth.
2. Lubricate the new O-ring with clean working fluid and install it on the hose.
FILLING CAPACITIES, LIQUIDS AND OILS, Lubrication system.
3. Connect the hose to the heat exchanger, tighten the nut, but do not tighten it.
4. Connect the hose to the gearbox and tighten the union nut to 18 Nm.
5. Tighten the fitting nut on the heat exchanger to a torque of 18 Nm.
6. Add working fluid to the gearbox.
MAINTENANCE, Automatic transmission - JATCO.
7. Reinstall the lower engine guard.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Lower engine protection shield.
8. Remove the container from under the engine.
