Dismantling

1. Set the selector to the 'Neutral' position and remove the selector handle.
CAUTION: The lever handle may suddenly come loose. Be careful not to injure your face when removing the handle.

2. Starting at the front end, carefully remove the spring clip securing the selector position indicator to the center console. Remove the two side clips and slide the indicator forward.

3. Disconnect the connector from the hill descent control switch.
4. Disconnect the connector from the selector position indicator.
5. Remove the pointer assembly.
Installation
1. Install the selector position indicator on the center console.
2. Connect the two connectors.
3. Check that the LCD panel is positioned on the positioning tabs.
4. Secure the selector position indicator to the center console.
5. Install the automatic transmission selector handle.
CAUTION: When replacing the handle, the selector must be in the "Park" position; failure to do so may result in damage to the selector mechanism.
