Dismantling
1. Remove the gearbox.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: JATCO, REPAIR WORK, Transmission: vehicles with KV6 engine.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: JATCO, REPAIR WORK, Transmission: car with Td4 engine.

2. Remove the torque converter from the transmission. Discard the transmission input shaft O-ring.
3. Remove the torque converter seal from the gearbox. Discard the seal.
CAUTION: Be careful when removing the oil seal to avoid damaging the oil pump housing.
Installation
1. Wipe the torque converter centering flange.
2. Wipe the torque converter seal seat in the gearbox housing. Lubricate the torque converter seal with clean working fluid.
FILLING CAPACITIES, LIQUIDS AND OILS, Lubrication system.

3. Install the oil seal using the LRT-44-024 mandrel.
4. Lubricate the new seal ring and install it on the input shaft.

5. Install the torque converter.

6. Check that the torque converter is fully seated on the oil pump drive by measuring dimension 'A' shown in the figure.
- Models with KV6 engine: Dimension A = 4 mm.
- Models with Td4 engine: Dimension A = 27 mm.
7. Install the gearbox.
