Dismantling


1. Remove the automatic transmission assembly.

3. Install the LRT-44-010 pullers onto the torque converter and separate the torque converter from the automatic transmission.

4. Remove the two screws securing the torque converter shaft seal.


4. Remove the two screws securing the torque converter shaft seal.

5. Carefully remove and discard the torque converter shaft seal.

Assembly


1. Wipe the groove in the gearbox housing under the torque converter shaft seal. Lubricate the torque converter shaft seal with fresh working fluid.

2. Carefully install the seal into the automatic transmission housing, secure and tighten the mounting screws to 3 N·m.



3. Install the torque converter on the automatic transmission, make sure that the torque converter is fully aligned with the working fluid pump drive.

4. Remove the LRT-44-010 pullers from the torque converter.

5. Install the torque converter retaining plate and secure it with screws.

6. Install the automatic transmission assembly into place.
