Examination


1. Move the selector lever from position "P" to each subsequent position, check how each gear change occurs. Return the lever to position "P".

2. Make sure that the engine starts when the selector lever is in the "P" or "N" position, and that the engine starts are inhibited when the selector lever is in the drive positions.

1. Place the vehicle on a lift.

2. Move the selector lever to position "P".

4. While holding the locking device with two wrenches, loosen the nut securing the inner cable to the selector lever.

5. Move the selector lever to position "P".

6. Turn the gearshift lever on the gearbox fully counterclockwise to the "P" position.

7. Tighten the locking device nut to a torque of 15 N·m.
