Draining and filling the front differential oil (Range Rover 3)

Drain

1. Place the vehicle on a lift.

2. Place a container to collect the oil.

3. Wipe the surface around the drain and filler plugs of the crankcase.



4. Remove the drain plug and drain the oil.

Filling

1. Apply sealing paste, No. STC 50552 to the drain plug, install it and tighten it to a torque of 65 N·m.

2. Remove the filler/inspection plug.

3. Fill the final drive housing with fresh recommended oil until a thin stream of oil appears from the filler/inspection hole. Allow the oil level to stabilize.

FILLING CAPACITIES, USED OPERATING LIQUIDS, OILS AND SEALANTS, Lubrication system.

4. Apply sealing paste, No. STC 50552 to the filler/inspection plug, screw it in and tighten to a torque of 35 N·m.
