Rear differential case gasket and cover (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Remove the final drive with differential assembly.

2. Remove the 8 screws securing the rear final drive housing cover.

3. Remove the cover.

4. Remove and discard the sealing gasket.

Assembly

1. Wipe the joint surfaces of the cover and the main gear housing.

2. Install the gasket and cover, tighten the screws and, going around them diagonally, gradually tighten the cover mounting screws to a torque of 45 N·m.

3. Install the final drive with differential assembly.
