If the electronic control unit needs to be replaced, the Testbook/T4 diagnostic tool must be connected and the correct sequence of actions must be performed before disconnecting the battery.

WARNING: Always remove both battery terminals before operating the airbag system. First disconnect the negative terminal. Never mix up the wires when connecting to the battery pack.

Dismantling

2. Remove the airbag module from the steering wheel.

4. Disconnect the connector blocks from the locks on the steering wheel and on the electronic control unit. Move the blocks aside and remove the electronic control unit.



Assembly


1. Position the electronic control unit, attach the connector block and install it in place. Secure the connector blocks in the clamps.

2. Connect the connector block of the rotary current collector assembly.

3. Install the driver's airbag.
