Each program has a symbol that schematically represents a certain road surface. The rotary control will only select the last program in the direction of rotation. Further rotation of the switch in either direction after the last program has been selected will have no effect. For example, after the "Sand" program has been selected, further rotation of the control clockwise will have no effect.
The control unit and rotary control are connected via a harness connector, which also includes wiring for the HDC and DSC switches and the lighting circuits. The control unit and rotary control use four wires from the harness to supply 12 V from the battery (ignition - only if the ignition is on), to supply ground, and the plus and minus of the high-speed CAN bus.
