Electronic glow plug control unit: up to May 2003 (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.



2. Unscrew 5 screws and remove the cover of the mounting box.



3. Disconnect the connector from the glow plug control unit.

4. Loosen the nut securing the spark plug bus to the spark plug control unit, disconnect the bus and remove the control unit.

Installation

1. Install the glow plug control unit onto the mount in the mounting box.

2. Place the glow plug bus onto the control unit terminal and secure it with a nut.

3. Connect the harness connector to the glow plug control unit.

4. Install the cover of the mounting box and secure it with screws.

5. Connect the negative battery terminal.
