Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the 10 screws securing the cover of the mounting box and remove the cover.
3. Disconnect the glow plug control unit from the junction box.
4. Disconnect the connector from the control unit.
5. Loosen the wire fastening nut, disconnect the wire and remove the control unit.
Assembly
1. Bring the control unit to its place, connect the wire and tighten the nut. Tightening torque 6 N·m.
2. Connect the connector to the unit and install the control unit in the mounting box.
3. Install the cover of the mounting box, screw in the screws and tighten them to a torque of 2 N·m.
4. Connect the negative battery terminal.
5. If a new glow plug control unit has been installed, reconfigure the control system using the TestBook/T4 device.
