Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Disconnect the connector from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
3. Loosen the Allen screw and remove the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
4. Remove and discard the gasket.
Assembly
1. Wipe the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor and mating surfaces.
2. Install a new seal onto the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
3. Install the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor and tighten the mounting screw to 8 N·m.
4. Connect the connector to the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
5. Connect the negative battery terminal.
6. If a new sensor has been installed, reconfigure the control system using the TestBook/T4 device.
