Low fuel pressure sensor (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.



2. Disconnect the connector from the low fuel pressure sensor.

3. Loosen the Torx bolt and release the latch securing the fuel pressure sensor to the fuel filter housing, remove the sensor from the housing.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any part of the fuel system, thoroughly clean the surrounding area of dirt, dust and deposits to prevent foreign particles from entering the system.

4. Discard the fuel pressure sensor O-ring.

Assembly

1. Wipe the mating surfaces on the fuel filter and on the pressure sensor.

2. After putting on a new O-ring, insert the sensor into the filter housing, put on the clamping bar and tighten the mounting bolt. Tightening torque 6 Nm.

3. Connect the negative battery terminal.

4. If a new sensor has been installed, reconfigure the control system using the TestBook/T4 device.
