Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling


1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the fan motor.

AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, REPAIR WORKS, Electric motor - condenser fan.


3. Remove the lower protective apron.

EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Engine protection - front.


4. Remove the fan viscous coupling.

COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.


5. Unscrew the 4 nuts and 2 bolts securing the cross member to the subframe and remove the cross…


5. Unscrew the 4 nuts and 2 bolts securing the cross member to the subframe and remove the cross member.

6. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the air inlet hose from the air-to-air radiator.


6. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the air inlet hose from the air-to-air radiator.



7. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the air outlet hose from the intermediate air cooling radiator.

8. Release the 2 clamps securing the intermediate cooling radiator to the support and carefully…


8. Release the 2 clamps securing the intermediate cooling radiator to the support and carefully remove the radiator.

Assembly


1. Install the intermediate air cooling radiator on the support and secure it with clamps.

2. Install and secure the intercooler radiator hoses.

3. Install on the cross member on the subframe, screw on the nuts and bolts. Tightening torque for nuts is 45 Nm, for bolts - 25 Nm.

4. Install the fan viscous coupling.

COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.


5. Replace the lower protective apron.

6. Install the fan motor.
