Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the engine soundproofing cover.
TD6 ENGINE, REPAIR WORK, Engine soundproofing casing.

3. Disconnect the connector from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.
4. Remove the Allen screw that secures the CMP sensor to the valve cover.
5. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor and discard the sealing washer.
Assembly
1. Wipe the camshaft position sensor and mating surfaces.
2. Install a new seal on the sensor (CMP), insert it and tighten the fastening screw. Tightening torque 8 N·m.
3. Connect the connector to the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.
4. Reinstall the engine soundproofing cover.

5. Connect the negative battery terminal.
6. If a new sensor has been installed, reconfigure the control system using the TestBook/T4 device.
