Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (APP) (Range Rover 3)

The accelerator pedal position sensor is not serviced separately from the accelerator pedal.

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the protective cap from the bolt and unscrew the accelerator pedal mounting bolt.

3. Disconnect the pedal from the bracket, disconnect the connector from the pedal position sensor (APP) and remove the pedal.

Assembly

1. Install the accelerator pedal and connect the connector to the pedal position sensor.

2. Secure the pedal to the bracket and tighten the mounting bolt to a torque of 10 N·m. Place the protective cap on the bolt.

3. Connect the negative battery terminal.

4. If a new sensor has been installed, reconfigure the control system using the TestBook/T4 device.
